Episode 10: Amanda Dziedzic
Today I’m chatting with Amanda Dziedzic, glass blowing artist and co-founder of Melbourne-based studio Hot Haus. Amanda is boldly known in the design community for her artistic use of colour - she makes the kind of decorative pieces you just want to touch and that are guaranteed to make you smile. She is able to transform the mundane into something magic and brings this colourful spirit to all areas of her life including her wardrobe. Despite Amanda’s larger than life style though, she is able to see through the looking glass of coronavirus and has taken this opportunity to exhale and find inspiration and joy in the little things.
“I have a work uniform - it’s either work shirts or it’s overalls or coveralls. But then that’s pretty drab so I wear lots of stripes, I like big earrings, I wear a headscarf, so I don’t feel bogged down.”
