Episode 5: Amanda Bardas

In episode five, I chat with Amanda Bardas, Executive Editor of recently launched lifestyle and entertainment website The Latch. Amanda and I met many moons ago when I interviewed her to be my assistant. I knew immediately she was a fashion triple threat: smart, ambitious, stylish. But she was also kooky and kind and I knew she needed to be mine.

(Dance) was always a part of my life. That was my first real introduction to style and how it can bring a story to life.

I was really shy as a kid but I think what I really enjoyed was (fashion) was my own little thing I could just do for myself - like put my outfits together in the morning, it gave me a sense of control.

Styling

In order to entertain Mandy’s love of nineties popular culture, namely an obsession with Friends, and keep her in the relaxed, comfortable style to which she has become accustomed, I’ve styled her in a knitted midi skirt, cult wedge heels, and an oversized vintage shirt that would make even Chandler Bing proud.

I still watch Friends every single day. I’m probably heavily influenced by that without even realising it. I think I’m a mixture of all of them. I definitely wear on oversized shirt like Chandler very often.
