Episode 2: Carolyn (Baz) Whitford

In episode two, I chat with Carolyn Whitford, Director and founder of fashion label Baz Inc. Carolyn has been affectionately known as Baz since she was a young girl and has formed her fashion label as a namesake of sorts. In this episode, we find out why this nickname is deeply associated with her defining red mane of hair and how her hair and colouring have come to help define her career path in the fashion industry.

My mother was very understated but very glamorous and my grandmother was the same and my grandfather was also very beautifully dressed. When you’re growing up with that it’s an injection you can’t resist having.

My hair has always been a big part of my identity because it’s long and red and different...I own it more now that I’m older.

Styling

Baz is the type of woman that can stop a room with her looks. She is striking but always understated both in her appearance and manner. It seemed fitting to play to these defining attributes and style her in a wearable track suit that also had an injection of glamour coming from the luxe lurex textile. Paired with a kitten heel, the look has a contemporary appeal that demonstrates Baz’s timeless style.
